Courchevel (La Tania) 

Resort

La Tania sits in the midst of the vast 3 Valleys area nestled in the pine trees between Courchevel and Meribel. The resort is a series of wooden clad buildings clustered around a car-free centre with a real alpine atmosphere. A fast gondola leads up into the slopes and with long and sweeping runs through the trees back to the resort, La Tania has the benefit of ski to door access.

Despite its size, La Tania is home to a fair selection of bars and restaurants and as such is perfectly placed for a weekend stay. The atmosphere is relaxed, definitely alpine and one of its major draws is the lack of crowds. The ski access and friendly atmosphere sees La Tania’s popularity continue to grow.

Ski Area

A jumbo gondola provides access out of La Tania with a chair lift at the top that climbs to 2274m and the top of Col de La Loze. From here you can access the pistes of Courchevel 1850 in one direction or Meribel in the other. Two long, undulating tree-lined runs lead back to La Tania village; one blue and one red, giving La Tania the benefit of ski to door access. Topographically, the Trois Vallées is the perfect ski area with natural links between the different sectors, from almost everywhere there is an easy way down and anyone who can vaguely ski parallel can explore far afield.
