Excelsior Chamonix Hotel & Spa

The chef at Restaurant Envergure at the Excelsior Hotel & Spa specialises in using local produce and creates wonderful homemade dishes, all enjoyed with excellent service and a most impressive panoramic view. There is also a wonderful sunny terrace to enjoy a drink when the sun is out. When you want to relax, after your day on the slopes, there is the spacious and comfortable Bar l'Aquila which serves wine, beer, spirits and a decent Irish Coffee.

The Pure Altitude Spa offers a sauna, jacuzzi and hammam. Please note there is a local charge (€20 per person for 1 hour) to use these facilities and you will need to make a reservation. You may also choose to indulge in one of the treatments, also payable locally to the spa.

There is a luggage store, and for the youngsters, there is a play room.

The Excelsior Hotel & Spa is located 4.5km North East of the centre of Chamonix, but the Les Tines ski bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is a 6 minute walk from Les Tines train station, with trains to Chamonix, Argentiere, Les Praz (for Flegere), and Geneva.

• Distance to piste/lifts: the hotel is a a 4 minute bus ride to the Flegere ski lift, or a 6 minute bus ride to the Grand Montets (Argentiere) lift
• Distance to resort centre: You can reach Chamonix centre in 12 mins by ski bus
• Distance to ski hire shop: SkiSet Excelsior is located within the hotel

Free ski buses to Chamonix town centre run typically between 6am and 8:30pm. The night bus (pay locally) runs from 8:30pm to midnight.

The rooms at the Excelsior Hotel are modern, decorated in gentle colours, with a subtle elegance. All rooms have ensuite with either a bath or shower, WiFi, safe, TV, hairdryer, bathrobes, tea and coffee facilities and a view.

• Superior Double with balcony – 2 people, double or twin beds, from15msq
• Superior Double with view - 2 people,  double or twin beds, bathrobe, mini-bar, from15msq
• Deluxe Room with balcony - 2 people, double or twin beds, bathrobe, mini-bar, from15msq
• Family - 2 adults with 2 children, double or twin beds in master bedroom, area for children with sofabed, from 15msq
• Excelsior Suite - double or twin beds, bathrobe, mini-bar, from15msq

Resort tax is paid locally and is approximately €2.30 per person, per day.

You can arrive any day at the Excelsior Chamonix Hotel & Spa (apart from Saturdays) with SkiWeekends, and there is a minimum 3 night stay, subject to seasonal variations.

Check In: available from 4pm.

Check Out: you will need to vacate your room by 11am.

There is a bag store at the hotel if you arrive early or have a late flight on your departure day, giving you the chance to maximise your ski time.
