Austria is home to numerous resorts featuring a glacier, so October is usually the month when the highest elevation areas start spinning lifts for visitors once again.

After the loftier Austrian resorts have opened, November and December opening dates are the norm - so by this time in two months, we'll see 99% of Austrian ski resorts open for business. This is of course weather dependent, so keep an eye out on the upcoming snow forecasts to see how things are looking.
