6 Of The Best Runs In Chamonix

Chamonix has a lot going for it. Only a 1 hour transfer from Geneva, Chamonix is an iconic ski resort with a vibrant town, epic advanced and intermediate skiing and spectacular mountain scenery. Here we list 6 of our favourite red and black runs for intermediate and advanced skiers.

1. Grand Monte (black)

Located at the top of the Bochard gongola, this is great and long black run with stunning views.

2. Brévent - Face de Bellecôte (black)

This is another long, challenging run with a steep drop-in. It's a great test of your skills and stamina.

3. La Verte des Houches / Kandahar (black)

This is a legendary black run that hosted World Cup downhill races in the 1970s. It's a fast and demanding run that requires good technique.

4. Chamonix Flégère - Combe des Bossons (red):

This is a wide, open red run that's perfect for cruising. It's a great place to catch your breath after a challenging black run.

5. Le Tour – Belle Place (red):

A lovely cruisy red run starting above the tree line with magnificent views to Switzerland before descending into the tree line.

6. Chamonix Aiguillette du Midi - Vallée Blanche (off-piste, black):

This is a legendary off-piste run that descends from the Aiguille du Midi to Chamonix. It's a long and challenging run, but the views are simply stunning. Must be done with a guide as you are crossing a glacier!
