Our Chosen Charity
Ski Weekends are delighted to support Snow-Camp this winter
Using snow sports to help underprivileged young people broaden their horizons and discover opportunities beyond their expectations.
As you may know the team here at Ski Weekends are very keen on skiing, to say the least! We are therefore delighted to be involved with Snow-Camp, a fantastic charity helping to get young people involved in skiing and snowboarding and love the mountains as much as we do.
This innovative charity was set up to change the lives of inner-city young people by giving them unique opportunities to learn skiing, snowboarding and valuable life-skills through a range of exciting programmes. From these life-changing experiences, these youngsters grow in confidence and self-esteem, developing as individuals and making positive choices in their lives.
Established in 2003, Snow-Camp has now helped and supported over 3500 young people. New for 2013 is their apprenticeship programme which Ski Weekends have supported by providing works experience in resort for two Snow-Camp apprentices. There is always lots going on to help the youngsters and raise money including the annual Alpine Challenge in Morzine and even a kitesurfing event over the summer! Read more about Snow-Camp in the Snow-Camp Magazine.
Ski Weekends also support Snow-Camp by donating 1€ for every customer feedback questionnaire completed during the winter season by guests who have stayed with us.
