Skiing is a sacred sport. With the busy lives we live in this modern day world, it's often difficult to get out into the mountains and get that sneaky ski fix! The best way to do that is by skiing smart and making sure you pick short transfer destinations. Picking a resort which is between an hour and two hours from the airport means you can get yourself on those slopes pretty much as soon as you step off the plane. This is especially useful if you are planning on taking a short break and are only in the mountains for a long weekend or short mid-week break. So, ski smart by taking an early flight out to a destination that is under 2 hours from the airport and you'll be on the mountain for an afternoon of skiing! Similarly, on your day of departure, if you pick a late flight home, then you can ski pretty much all day before you head back to the UK.

The Portes du Soleil ski region | 1 hour transfer | 55km from Geneva

The fantastic Portes du Soleil ski area is a huge ski area that straddles the French-Swiss border. It is one of the closest ski areas to Geneva airport and the resorts of Morzine and Les Gets are some of the closest to Geneva airport. Both resorts are fantastic resorts with beautiful Savoyard style architecture and are fantastic for family skiing. Keep the kids happy with a short transfer and a great family ski area that they will love.  

The Grand Massif | 90 minute transfer | 90km from Geneva

Don't miss out on skiing in Flaine, located in the Grand Massif ski area. With this hour and a half transfer you'll be in resort in no time. Take a look at our two fantastic chalets in Flaine and have amazing access to the Grand massif's skiing and it's amazing views. Flaine is in a huge snow bowl, and has a reputation for it's deep, reliable powder and a huge 280km of skiing to enjoy.

Chamonix | 80 minute transfer | 88km from Geneva

For a quick and easy transfer, Chamonix is the place to go! Being just 88km from Geneva and with good access via a dual carriageway, you'll be in Chamonix in 80 minutes with good clear run! Not to mention the fact that Chamonix is world famous for it's skiing and is known as one of the world's greatest Alpine sports resorts.

La Clusaz | 1 hour transfer | 50km from Geneva 

La Clusaz is picture perfect. Many brits fall in love with it's picture perfect architecture and excellent skiing in the Aravis ski region. It is one of the shortest transfer resorts being just 1 hour from Geneva and is super easy to get to! Enjoy the picture perfect architecture, amazing food and boutique shopping when you are not on the slopes.
