Chalet Menu & Experience
When you book a SkiWeekends catered chalet, you'll be well looked after by our Post-sales team, Chalet Hosts and Resort Managers to ensure your ski holiday runs as smoothly as possible.
If you're wondering what the SkiWeekends catered chalet experience is like, and to make sure you know what to expect, we've put together a guide to the SkiWeekends chalet experience. All our catered chalets are available to book on a room by room or sole occupancy basis, so if you want to ensure you've got the chalet to yourself - let us know, otherwise experience the fun of sharing stories over breakfast and dinner with other like-minded guests.
Arrival
You can arrive at the chalet anytime from 9:30am to have a cup of tea, change, leave your bags and go skiing. Upon arrival at the chalet you'll be met by your Chalet Host/s and given a warm welcome.
Your pre-purchased lift passes will be waiting for you in the chalet. Your Chalet Hosts will show you to the equipment hire shop to collect your skis / snowboards that you pre-purchased, then you can get straight on the slopes.
Your bedroom(s) will be ready by 5pm at the latest, but usually earlier. Tea, coffee and freshly made cakes will also be waiting for you in the afternoon.
Once everyone has arrived, your Chalet Hosts will introduce themselves and explain a bit about the chalet and the resort before answering any questions you may have, and leave you to settle in.
Welcome Drink
Around 7pm on your first night, your Chalet Hosts will pour everyone a glass of bubbly (or non alcoholic alternative). This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow guests and share the days stories.
If you stay in one of our VIP Chalets (Poudreuse or Mouria) you will get canapes too on your first night, and if you go for a Superior Chalet (Renard Blanc) you'll receive canapes and fizz every night (except the hosts nights off)!
Dinner Service
The chalet dinner service generally begins around 7:30pm, and includes three courses* of delicious, home-cooked food. You will be able to enjoy your meal with free-flowing white / red / rose wine.
Please remember to request any special dietary requirements and children's menus before you travel, to ensure we can provide these for you. We will do our very best to accommodate any likes and dislikes during your stay.
* If you stay in one of our VIP or Superior Chalets you will enjoy a 4-course meal, with a cheese board or petit fours as the extra course.
You'll find a sample menu for our dinner service below. This is just an example and the exact style of the food we serve is subject to change according to supply and location. However, you can be assured that all SkiWeekends chalet food will be mountain-influenced and created using local products, wherever possible.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our chalets from 8am, and guests are free to use the facilities to make tea and coffee any time. Breakfast will always consist of a hot option**, as well as fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and porridge.
