Solo Ski Holidays

Our solo chalet ski holidays are back for 2024/25! If you're a solo skier or boarder, wanting to join a likeminded group of fellow mountain lovers, then read more about our solos ski holidays to the Alps in January & March 2025.

In March 2024 we organised our first trip specifically tailored for solo skiiers and snowboarders....which was a huge success! We took 20 solo skiers and boarders to Courchevel in the Three Valleys in France and everyone had a great time!

We have two solos ski holiday trips for the Winter 2024/25 season - one in January 2025, and one in March 2025. Read the details below for more information!

Where Are SkiWeekends Chalet Holidays For Solos and Single Skiers & Snowboarders This Winter?

We have two solos ski holidays in two different locations for winter 2024/25. Your base for the first four night trip will be the lovely Chalet Marjorie, located in central Les Gets, in the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, in January.

The second singles trips - also for 4 nights - will be in March 2025 in Chalet Mouria, an old-hunting style lodge, located in Courchevel Moriond (1650), perfect for accessing the Three Valleys.

Both chalets are situated in the resort centre, and both are a stones throw from the shops, bars and restaurants, and less than a 5 minute walk to the main ski lift.  Both holidays include return, shared Geneva Airport transfers.

Testimonials From Last Seasons Solos Ski Holiday:

"Rollercoaster of fun in the most beautiful mountains, skiing with new friends, all levels, all snow conditions, always followed by apres-ski, superb food, and dancing :-)"
"The location of the chalet was perfect - I loved how close and convenient it was to everything - including the ski rental place, the bus and the slopes. I loved how easy it was to get the transfers. It was a quick break which is exactly what I was looking for and I'm really glad we could ski on the last day before we left"
"Very well organised, chalet staff were very professional, and the food was great. All organisation done by SkiWeekends to ensure we could ski the moment we arrived made it brilliant. The fact it was solos everyone mixed with everyone despite the age differences"

Can I Bring A Friend?

These are solo ski holidays for solos and singles, where you will meet new friends to ski with. If you would like to book a ski holiday with a friend, partner or family member we have lots of other holiday options to choose from.

Is this a dating ski break?

No, not at all. Try to think of our solo ski breaks as shared catered chalet holidays for individual skiers/snowboarders and sociable solo travellers.

Will there be a ski guide?

No, but we will arrange meet up times and suggested itineraries for each day. Beginners are welcome to book lessons - ask our ski experts for a ski school referral.

Who will I meet in the chalet?

Aside from our friendly, knowledgeable Chalet Hosts, you will be sharing the chalet with other solo skiers/boarders just like you, plus perhaps a few skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. In March 2024, SkiWeekends solo chalet guests ranged from age 29 - 70.  We are aware there will always be a range of ages and abilities, so don't worry, the ski areas we have been chosen for the trips are suitable for all abilities :)

Are transfers included?

Yes! Shared transfers are included in the price. If for any reason you don't want or can't make the shared transfer, you can upgrade to a private transfer for a supplement, or if you wish to self drive then we are happy to discount the transfer fee. Please ask for parking space availability and self drive discount when booking.

Do I have to join in with everyone?

Not at all. This is your holiday after all, so you can ski as much as you like, socialise as much as you like. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Everything is casual. Your evening meals will be at a set time each evening, but if for whatever reason you don't want to join, simply let the chalet host know as soon as you can.

Will I have to share a bedroom?

Yes and No! You can choose to book a shared or sole use room.  Shared room guests will be put together with another guest that is the same gender and roughly the same age to share a twin room. Prices for shared and single sole use rooms are displayed above.

Will there be children in the chalet?

No. These dates have been specifically reserved for adults only.

Can I contact fellow solo skiers on the same trip before the holiday?

Before you travel you will be invited to join a solos WhatsApp group with all the other guests and host on your solos trip. Before travel you can use this to arrange to meet at the airport, at the chalet to go skiing on arrival, or even group together to book a private ski lesson. During the solos ski holiday the group is invaluable for keeping in touch with where to ski, lunch options and apres ski, and of course sharing very happy holiday photos and memories.

Are there any other solo holiday options?

Yes! As mentioned above we also have a ladies only ski trip taking place at Chalet Mouria in Courchevel for 4 nights from 13th March 2025, where you can go as a solo female skier / boarder, or take a friend. Find out more here.

We have made some solo rooms available to book in Chalet Violetta in Avoriaz. These are for 3-night, mid week breaks on the following dates: Monday 16th Dec, Monday 13th Jan, Monday 27th Jan, Monday 24th March and Monday 31st March. These cannot be booked online - please email our Ski Experts at sales@skiweekends.com to enquire about availability & pricing. Note - these dates are not for a specific solos trip, they are for a regular ski holiday in a shared chalet.

How do I book?

Call our friendly Ski Experts on 02380 206971. We'll  confirm availability for the room type of your choice (shared or solo single use), and if you're happy with everything you'll then need to pay a £200pp deposit to confirm your booking or its full payment if booking within 12 weeks of travel.
