There's a wide range of restaurants in Avoriaz to suit all tastes and budgets. If you plan on eating out on a Saturday afternoon/evening, we recommend that you book in advance. 

Places for Lunch

It's worth noting, that the popular self-service mountain restaurants are prone to over-crowding during the peak ski times, especially when snow-cover is poor on the lower resorts. On the slopes, you will find plenty of budget-friendly options close to lift stations. 

 La Folie Douce

Located right by our catered chalets, the Folie Douce offers two great dining options to choose from. You can grab a quick bite La Petite Cuisine, which is a great value self-service restaurant that serves fresh dishes. If you’re after more fine dining then head to La Fruitiere. Inspired by traditional mountain living, it serves up regional dishes made with local Savoie and Swiss ingredients. You can walk or ski right to the door, and inside you’ll find a warm, buzzing atmosphere wherever you choose to eat.

After eating, stick around for the unique Folie Douce apres ski with live music at the outdoor bar and terrace.

Le Yeti

Another popular spot in the heart of Avoriaz, located next our wonderful Chalet Jean France. This restaurant is known for its hearty portions of good Alpine food. It has a large terrace and a great atmosphere. Relax in a deckchair and watch everyone skiing by.

Le Fangle

Just a stone's throw from Le Yeti, and opposite our VIP Chalet Poudreuse this charming restaurant serves up alpine cuisine and Savoie specialties in a spacious, traditional alpine interior. There's also a roaring log fire to keep you warm on chilly days.

Le Fournil De Cannelle

Located in central Avoriaz, this bakery is the best in town. It offers a huge selection of baked treats, both sweet and savory, as well as pizzas, baguettes, and more. It's a great value for a lunch stop right in the heart of Avoriaz.

Mamos Café

Nestled in the beautiful Lindarets bowl, Mamos Café serves a variety of food, including brunch, local specialties, burgers, and sandwiches. You can choose to sit inside the cozy restaurant or enjoy the views outside on the terrace.

Cookie Café Mossettesis

For the best views in the Portes du Soleil, head to the Cookie Café. Situated at the top of the Mossette chair at 2300m, it's the highest restaurant in the region and offers 360-degree panoramic views into Switzerland. The gourmet burgers, hand-crafted by their local Swiss butcher, are the best sellers, but their menu is varied, featuring pizzas, bao buns, and more, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Chez Flo

Located at the top of the Prodains Express cable car, Chez Flo is a popular spot for lunch. With a large restaurant and a huge terrace, they offer a varied menu including local Savoyard dishes, all served in generous portions.

Changabang

A popular burger and snack place is the Changabang restaurant. Located by the top of the Prodains cable car, it’s a very popular spot to grab a burger, wrap or some curly fries.

Place for Dinner

As well as mountain restaurants, there are also around 20 restaurants in the main village offering a mix of affordable pizzerias through to local Savoyard specials and gourmet establishments.

Le Traino

A cozy fondue restaurant in the heart of Avoriaz, known for its friendly service and extensive menu.

La Reserve

This is the resort's premier gourmet restaurant, offering classic French cuisine in a rustic, chalet-style setting. The chef presents a refined and gastronomic menu, featuring mountain specialties enhanced with premium ingredients.

La Cabane

A cosy chic restaurant in the heart of the resort, open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's electic menu serves up a mix of tradditional french dishes alongside more modern cuisine, it even has a sushi menu. In the evening, live jazz singers create a mellow, relaxed atmosphere, follwed by a DJ that matches this ambience- although they have been known to throw on some classic hits later on and get people dancing. 

L'Etage

A small and elegant restaurant located just off the central square in Avoriaz. This traditional Savoyard restaurant serves all the old favorites.

La Cachette

Situated in the Dromonts area of Avoriaz, this cozy alpine restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy many traditional Savoyard dishes.

Bar Restaurant La Falaise

A cosy traditional Alpine style restaurant, serves Savoyard specialties, French cuisine and they do great pizzas! Sit inside and look out onto the piste, or settle into the sunny terrace to enjoy the sun on good-weather days. A great spot for lunch or dinner.

Le Chapka

A modern interpretation of a mountain pub serving contemporary-style cuisine and sharing boards, we’d highly recommend the burgers! The staff are really friendly and they often have sports on. A great spot with relaxed vibes.

Restaurants in Prodains 

L'Adresse

This street food-inspired outdoor snack bar offers unique twists on classic snacks like hot dogs, croques, and crepes. However, what truly sets this place apart are its burgers! With great food at decent prices, L'Adresse is a lunch stop not to be missed. It's open only during the winter season, so make sure to swing by.

Le Cable

Located next to the old gondola station, Le Cable offers a mix of traditional French cuisine and modern European food, with particularly good pizzas. Come here for relaxed vibes, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Restaurant du Hameau

Serving gourmet mountain fare alongside refined and modern cuisine, Restaurant du Hameau is a family affair with both father and son in the kitchen. You’ll find recipes here that have been passed down through generations, offering a unique and delicious dining experience.
