Snow Conditions in Bad Gastein

The slopes of Bad Gastein are reasonably high, topping out at 2685m, and hold their snow well. The ski area above Sportgastein keeps its snow in particularly good shape. This lead to a reasonably good snow reliabilty rating.

Lower down on the slopes, the snow can be hit and miss at times. This is made up for with a number of snow cannons, but their coverage is not as extensive as it could be. The slopes of Bad Gastein can be particularly vulnerable late into the season.

Is Bad Gastein snow sure? At higher elevations the snow reliability is excellent, but with a limited number of high altitude runs, the resort tends to suffer in warmer weather.
