ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN CHAMONIX
Chamonix is a year-round round resort with an abundance of entertainment and off snow activities on offer. At 3840m the Aiguille du Midi is the highest cable car in the world and is a must-do activity for anyone who doesn’t suffer from vertigo. For those not wanting to ski the 24km off piste run back down the infamous Vallée Blanche* however, you are able to just take the cable car up in order to experience the high altitude and sublime scenery.
There are many things to do in Chamonix besides wining and dining, for the resort has all the facilities you might expect from an internationally renowned ski town, including an ice rink, a cinema, a bowling alley, and a large sports centre with an indoor pool. As well as a long list of excursions, there are in fact lots of things for non-skiers to do in Chamonix. This could include a visit to the Alpine museum or perhaps attending a nail-biting Ice Hockey match in town!
