COURCHEVEL 1650 RESORT Guide
The Mountain
Courchevel Moriond, also known as Courchevel 1650, is one of the four charming villages that make up the Courchevel ski resort, which is part of the world's largest ski area; Les Trois Vallées (The Three Valleys).
With a local area Courchevel ski pass, you can explore 150 km of pistes across Courchevel Le Praz (1300), Courchevel Village (1550), Courchevel Moriond (1650), and Courchevel 1850. The terrain offers something for everyone, from a fantastic beginners’ area perfect for those new to skiing to excellent progression slopes for intermediates. The slopes above Courchevel Moriond are usually quieter, providing good off-piste opportunities. When the weather closes in, enjoy the sheltered, tree-lined runs. Advanced skiers can challenge themselves on the more demanding slopes at Courchevel 1850, including the renowned steep black run, The Grand Couloir.
For those looking to explore even more, the Three Valleys pass gives access to a staggering 600 km of pistes across seven resorts, including Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, and Brides-les-Bains.
The Village
Courchevel Moriond is a traditional ski village with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a popular destination for holidaymakers, thanks to its more reasonable prices compared to the neighboring Courchevel 1850. Despite being smaller, Moriond boasts a lively ambiance with a great selection of bars and restaurants, where you’ll find prices more affordable than those in the luxury-focused 1850. There more to do than just skiing too, so if you want a mountain holiday without having to hit the slopes, this area has something to offer everyone. Check out our Courchevel Activities and Events Page for more information.
A free bus service runs between the four Courchevel villages from early morning until around 1am, making it easy to explore the different areas and enjoy a change of scenery.
