INNSBRUCK

This ancient town is the capital of the Tyrolean region. The historic town centre is spellbindingly beautiful, renowned for its distinctive architecture and its pretty, cobbled streets. Innsbruck also has a huge student population, which contributes to its vibrant nightlife - don't be surprised if things start to get lively once the sun goes down.

The city is thriving with fantastic restaurants, hotels, bars and shopping surrounded by summer and winter sporting activities. It’s all reasonably affordable here, making it a great place if you are looking for a ski holiday that’s good value for money. Travellers looking for a cultural experience and fantastic skiing will find it here in Innsbruck.

SKI AREA OVERVIEW

Though Innsbruck ski resort is actually more of a city, it's surrounded on all sides by some of Austria's best ski areas, making it a unique proposition for visiting skiers. Some - such as Nordpark is directly accessible from the town centre, whilst others are a short transfer away. Experienced skiers will appreciate the steep slopes of Nordpark and the heights of Axamer Lizum, whilst learners and less confident skiers can avail themselves of the more mellow treelined slopes at Fulpmes-Schlick 2000, Mutters and Igls, close to the city centre.

Kuhtai offers ski-in ski-out convenience and a great snow record, whilst Seefeld caters well to families and those looking for a relaxing break. Meanwhile, the Stubai glacier is close at hand offering a choice of runs between 2300m and 3200m. All of these resorts can be accessed via one lift pass - the Olympia Skiworld pass which includes the aforementioned resorts and totals over 260kms of pistes for you to tackle on your holiday.
