Apres Ski In Kaprun
Kaprun may not have the same nightlife reputation as St Anton or Zell am See, but it still knows how to party, and offers plenty of options for apres ski fun. Don't forget, this is Austria, so you can expect authentic, traditional bars with steins of beer, hammering a nail into wood and the best Europop music! These bars can be found on the side of the slopes or down in the village.
A good way to kick off your evening is at Paletti's Bar, where you can enjoy reasonably priced pizza and beers right after hitting the slopes.
Start ramping up your Kaprun apres ski session by heading to The Pavillion, where you'll be drinking beers, Flugel and Flying Hirsch and dancing & singing to random Dutch songs. If you want to chill with a beer or glass of wine, The Pavillion has a great heated outdoor section where the music is a dampened by soundproof glass.
If you're still standing after the Pavillion, you have to experience traditional Austrian apres ski at the BaumBar. This is a local favorite located a bit further from the town center but well worth the walk, especially for the live music.
Other popular apres ski bars include the Partykeller, Kitsch and Bitter, and Jausenstation Häuslalm (located on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier)
One of the big draws to Kaprun on the post-ski front is the Tauern Spa complex with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms and a plethora of spa services. A fantastic place to unwind and relax.
