SNOW CONDITIONS IN LES ARCS

Due to high altitude (most runs are conveniently situated above the 2000m mark) Les Arcs holds onto its snow well into the late season despite quite a lot of the slopes being West facing. Les Arcs, like it’s neighbour La Plagne, gets a lot of snow each year averaging over 5m snowfall each season. Even if you are round early or late season when the snow might not be quite as impressive, it is very easy to stay above 2000m where the snow stays good throughout the whole season.

There is excellent snowmaking in Les Arcs lower down which is great if you need to get down to the lower resorts. With over 40km of the slopes covered by snowmaking machines, it is fair to say that they are only really necessary on the lower altitude slopes due to the generally high altitude nature of the resort and the majority of the runs. Les Arcs has a generally high standard of snow management enhancing your time on the slopes, meaning you can carve down those sweet groomers every morning!

So, is Les Arcs snow sure? Due to its glacier and high elevation slopes, Les Arcs is very snow sure all season long.
