LES GETS - RESORT Guide
The Mountain
The Les Gets ski area itself is linked with Morzine and the entire area is included in the local lift pass and between these two resorts, there are around 50 lifts to choose from and 120km of piste to ski. The Les Gets ski area is surrounded by beautiful tree lined runs consisting mainly of blues and reds, making it a popular resort for beginner and intermediates. You can head up the Chanvannes side to link over to Morzine, or hop on the Mont Chery Gondola to explore lesser skied pistes. Mont Chery is a real hidden gem, becasue it's mainly reds and blacks (there is one blue) it's left unexplored by many, so head over this side for quieter skiing and fantastic views- on a clear day you can spot Mont Blanc at the top.
Those that want to explore further can upgrade to a full area ski pass to explore more of the Portes du Soleil, including the popular high alitude resort of Avoriaz. From Les Gets, you can ski or take a bus to Avoriaz, with travel times ranging from 1 to 2 hours depending on your experience level. It’s well worth considering for avid skiers looking to clock up some mileage. The full area pass will also enable you to ski into Switzerland, where more advanced skiers looking for a challenge can take on the famous Swiss wall. If you don't fancy skiing a vertical wall, you can head over to Les Crosets and Champoussin.
Overall, this ski area offers breathtaking views and is perfect for any level skier; whether you’re just starting out, looking to progress or enjoy covering extensive terrain, there’s something for everyone.
