MEGEVE - THE RESORT

Thinking of skiing in Megève? This resort is set in a picturesque and sunny part of the Alps, it has old rustic charm and is now one of the most fashionable resorts in France. Despite being purpose build it has still retained much of its traditional village style which oozes with sophistication. The town has a preserved medieval centre with narrow cobbled streets, wonderfully restored buildings and a pretty church. It is renowned for its spectacular scenery and character.

There are over 90 bars and restaurants, 3 cinemas and plenty of shops from designer boutiques to jewellery shops and food shops. There is also a market on Fridays, open-ice rink and hot air ballooning making it one of the best resorts in the Alps for non-skiers. Megève also has a wide range of amenities including mini-supermarkets, ATM machines, doctors, dentists, launderettes, pharmacies, bakeries, beauty parlours and several hairdressers.

Après ski in Megève is sophisticated with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. It becomes busy quite early on in the afternoon and doesn’t stop until early hours of the morning. The nightlife here is friendly and lively, just as expected from the resort of Megève.
