APRES-SKI IN MORZINE

Restaurants and bars are plentiful in Morzine and you won’t have to search for too long in order to get a taste of the widely renowned Morzine après ski scene. Even by French standards, Morzine has fantastic après facilities and if you're keen to sample the Morzine nightlife, there are a superb selection of popular bars and restaurants, all with their own little quirks and quiddities.

One of the best-known après ski bars in Morzine is Bar Robinson's. Robbo's is a traditional French cafe run by three locals who remember the resort before it was popular. Although the bar has no music or entertainment, it offers super strength Mutzig lager making it a popular destination for anyone who's spent a long day on the hill. Similarly, the après bar Shooters is another popular haunt that knows exactly how to show tourists an aprés-loutly great time and is often alive and kicking until the early hours.

For those looking for a little more sophistication, there is the Coup de Coeur wine bar and for late night parties the Crepu, Cavern, Tibetan Bar (which also serves fabulous food) and L’Opera are all grouped together just below the Plèney cable car.

Morzine Nightlife

After a fun-filled afternoon dancing on the tables and a hearty meal to help replenish your energy, you are bound to be looking for more. For a rather different taste of the Alps, it is well worth heading for the ‘Haka’ bar. New Zealand themed (hence the name!), and located at the bottom of the Pléney lift means that it is easy to access. Even more, The Haka bar offers a great alternative to some of the more regular bars, and is open until 11.30pm playing music and sport for all to enjoy!

As stated in the après ski, if you are looking for a classier ambience then head to ‘La Coup du Coeur’ which roughly translates to ‘Love at first sight’ which may just be the case when you open the wine list! This popular wine bar in Morzine, that also happens to sell great food as well, is in a great location near the centre. The charming atmosphere and great service means that it is a top spot for a romantic evening.

Finally, for those planning on partying until the early morning, there are 2 clubs; ‘L’Opera’ and Le Paradis. L’Opera tends to stay open until 5 am and often has some great themed nights involving plenty of fancy dress and enough glitter to cover the UK! Le Paradis tends to be a bit more serious, attracting some superb DJ’s throughout the season 7 nights a week with a style that will remind you of your years on the town!
