The Village
Morzine is not a purpose built ski resort, it’s lived in year round by locals and frequented by visitors in both winter and summer. Because of this it’s not like you’re typical ski resort, there’s so much to do here, that you don’t have to be a skier or snowboarder to enjoy a winter holiday in the mountains.
Its traditional wooden chalets that line the valley hold real alpine charm. Morzine is a really lovely village which has a family friendly ambience. Whilst it has been awarded the Famille Plus Label, it also offers some great bars to head to for a bit of après ski or later in the evening for a night out. You’ll not be short of places to eat either. It really is a resort that suits everyone’s needs.
Morzine is quite a large and fairly spread out resort. It’s relatively easy to walk around and wherever you are you're generally in walking distance to lots of retaurants, cafes and bars. It’s very common here to take the ski bus from your accommodation to lifts, due to the nature of the resorts layout. Because of this there are many bus links which will enable you to get around with considerable ease. You can see the free bus timetable here.
