PLACES FOR LUNCH

On the Mountain

Restaurant la Pointe de Nyon

Enjoy breathtaking views at this mountain restaurant, which offers a varied menu featuring traditional French and Savoyard dishes, as well as seafood. There is also a ski-in/ski-out snack bar on the slopes, selling quick bites like sandwiches, waffles, and crepes. Take a quick break on the deck-chairs to relax and refuel. Nearby, you'll find a nature park famous for its birds of prey.

La Grenouille du Marais

This charming restaurant is a great place to stop off while skiing down the Super Morzine pistes. It has a traditional style and serves a delightful mix of fondues and tartiflettes.

L'Passage Restaurant

Based just above the Super Morzine gondola, this cosy mountain restaurant is an excellent spot for a drink on the sun-trap terrace or a reasonably-priced lunch away from the crowds higher up the mountain. The menu includes simple, good food like soups, salads, burgers, pasta, and local specialities. Its location makes it a convenient stop at the end of the day on your way down the mountain. There are regular après-ski vibes with good music or DJ sessions from 15:00 onwards.

In the Village

Le Colibri

Le Colibri is a fantastic all-day restaurant and a very popular lunch spot. Located on the main pedestrian street down from the Pleney, it’s hard to miss. The food is fresh and generous, taking inspiration from French and British café culture. Think buddha bowls, salads, eggs benedict, and pancakes. The coffee is great too.

La Bonbonniere

For a quick lunch stop in the village, La Bonbonniere is a must. This bakery offers a huge selection of savory and sweet snacks to refuel on the go. They also have a small seating area inside if you want a quick break.

Ô Chalet

For good food in generous portions, head to O Chalet. They serve a selection of snacks, kebabs, bagels, paninis, wraps, salads, and crepes. However, they are best known for their burgers! This is a hotspot for seasonnaires and tourists looking for good, simple food in a laid-back space.

La Cendrée

La Cendrée is a mountain bistro located at the bottom of the Pleney slopes, right next to the ESF Club Piou Piou. In winter, little ones can frolic in the snow while waiting for food. The food is traditional, homemade, and hearty, and the house mulled wine is not to be missed.

Places for Dinner

La Ferme de la Fruitière

As featured in the Michelin Guide, La Ferme de la Fruitière is a cheese-lover’s paradise. The focus here is on local cheeses - Abondance, Tomme, Reblochon - which are all made and matured in the neighbouring fruitière (cheese producer). You can even see the wheels of cheese maturing through a glass window in the restaurant. The dining space is stunning with large vaulted dining rooms and a huge wood-burning stove in the centre.

La Grange

Set in a wooden chalet in Morzine’s old town, this is a cosy spot to spend an evening. Serving traditional cuisine in generous portions, the menu includes a whole section dedicated to fondue and other local Savoyarde specialities. Make sure to leave room for one of their homemade desserts and a shot of their house spiced rum.

La Rotonde

A beautiful traditional alpine restaurant in the heart of Morzine, La Rotonde’s menu is packed with high-quality, delicious dishes, offering plenty of choices for everyone. You’ll find all the Savoyarde classics here, done to a super high standard.

Le Clin D’Oeil

Tucked away off the main strip, Le Clin d’Oeil is one of Morzine’s hidden gems. The family that runs the restaurant is originally from Southwest France and they have a great reputation for traditional cooking with a Southwest influence. There’s a two-course children’s menu which is great value, and the relaxed, child-friendly vibe means everyone can enjoy dinner.

Restaurants in Prodains

L'Adresse

This street food-inspired outdoor snack bar offers unique twists on classic snacks like hot dogs, croques, and crepes. However, what truly sets this place apart are its burgers! With great food at decent prices, L'Adresse is a lunch stop not to be missed. It's open only during the winter season, so make sure to swing by.

Le Cable

Located next to the old gondola station, Le Cable offers a mix of traditional French cuisine and modern European food, with particularly good pizzas. Come here for relaxed vibes, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Restaurant du Hameau

Serving gourmet mountain fare alongside refined and modern cuisine, Restaurant du Hameau is a family affair with both father and son in the kitchen. You’ll find recipes here that have been passed down through generations, offering a unique and delicious dining experience.
